Some concerts leave you buzzing. Some leave you in awe. And some, like Foster the People’s Paradise State of Mind Tour stop at House of Blues Dallas, make you wish you could relive them over and over again. This was their first U.S. tour in seven years, and Dallas made sure they felt right at home with a sold-out show packed with infectious energy, dazzling lights, and a crowd that knew every word.
Good Neighbors Set the Vibe

London-based Good Neighbors set the perfect tone for the night, kicking things off with “Keep It Up.” Their warm gratitude toward Foster The People for bringing them on tour was met with loud cheers from a supportive, magnetic crowd. The lead singer danced, played the drums alongside the band’s drummer, and brought a dynamic presence that drew everyone in.

The standout? Their female pianist. She didn’t just play—she commanded. On “Starry Eyed,” she jumped in with an unexpected bass boost, adding a sultry, swanky depth to the track.

Then came “Espresso”—a jolt of energy that had the entire venue singing at the top of their lungs. By the time they played “Home,” the lead singer’s hypnotic vocals had the audience fully locked in, swaying and shouting along. The finale? A full-fledged, hands-in-the-air, clapping, jumping, screaming moment of unity.
Foster The People Take Over

Then, the lights dropped. And the House of Blues came alive.
Opening with a mesmerizing wave of colors and electro-funk beats, Foster The People had the crowd roaring by the second song. The band took full command of the stage, using DJ equipment, three piano decks, and a stunning laser show to build an atmosphere that felt like stepping into another world. Dallas has always been good to them, front man Mark Foster said, spotting a flag from El Salvador in the audience.

Midway through, he sat at the piano, showing off the kind of raw talent that turns casual fans into lifelong believers. The lights, the energy, the sheer craftsmanship of the performance—it all built toward a fever pitch.

And then…
“Pumped Up Kicks.”
If you weren’t there, you missed out. The entire venue exploded. Fans jumped, screamed, clapped, and threw their hands in the air as the band matched their energy beat for beat. The final moments saw Mark Foster drumming out a marching-band-style beat, letting the crowd chant along in perfect rhythm.
As the final notes rang out, a standing ovation followed—every. single. song.
A House of Blues Experience Like No Other

Downtown Dallas was buzzing—the Stars had a home game, but inside House of Blues, Foster the People was delivering a performance that could rival any arena-level show. Merch was flying off the tables long before the headliners even took the stage, with some items selling out before a single note was played.
The crowd? A fascinating mix. Young, old, dressed to impress, and ready to dance. The VIP section was packed with well-dressed fans looking to enjoy the show from a more intimate setting. Meanwhile, the rail belonged to a sea of enthusiastic fans, mostly women, clutching onto every note.
House of Blues Dallas Proves Itself Yet Again

There’s a reason House of Blues Dallas remains a premier destination for both artists and fans. The production was next-level, with insane lighting, sound precision, and visuals that turned the venue into an immersive experience. The staff? Always on point, always helpful. And the crowd? A beautiful, eclectic mix, proving that great music knows no age limits.
If you missed this one, don’t make the same mistake twice. Next time Foster the People rolls through, buy the damn ticket.
